Job Summary
The Instrument Tech will disassemble, clean, disinfect, sterilize, assemble and store equipment and supplies. The right candidate must have basic knowledge of disinfection and sterilization principles and mechanisms to ensure the integrity of surgical processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Current experience working as an Instrument Room Technician with at least one year of related experience
- Recent experience in central processing/central services and decontamination
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- The ability to handle a fluctuating workload
- The ability to safely maneuver patients and supplies
- Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from accredited training program for Instrument Room Technicians and/or Central Processing (Central Services) training program
- Central Service certification
