Job Summary The Department Assistant will assist the Coghlan clinic in running an efficient and professional practice. Position responsibilities will include handling multiple telephone lines, scheduling and coordinating appointments, receiving and disbursing mail, managing medical records, and coordinating the functions of the front office. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of three years administrative or clerical support Data entry and Microsoft application skills: Word, Excel and Outlook Demonstrates customer service skills Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of medical terminology Familiarity with electronic medical records Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a health care setting Knowledge of physician practice management systems Some college coursework Interested yet?
