Job Summary
Northwest Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a Sr. Clinical Informatics Analyst to perform as an expert in planning, developing, supporting and evaluating systems. This position, along with the CMIO, designs and implements Physician Computerized Order Sets and designs templates for Physician Documentation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Facilitation and management of user engagement in research, selection, planned implementation and productive use of clinical systems
- Serving as a liaison with clinical staff and departments for the purpose of broad integrative program development with other programs and services of the organization
- Facilitating systems and process design and development
- Strategic and tactical Planning
- Providing experienced healthcare vision and leadership to facilitate the transition to a more interdependent, integrated delivery network and knowledge-based organization
- Collaborating in the development, scheduling, delivery and evaluation of clinical systems educational programs and services
- Representation of the enterprise in defining program and project structure
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Washington State nursing licensable
- At least five years of clinical experience in an inpatient and/or ambulatory health care setting
- Full cycle Soarian project implementation experience
- Five years of supervisory/management experience in a health care setting
- 3 plus years clinical informatics experience with Soarian Clinical Systems
- Experience must include generating Physician Order Sets in ZYNX Author Space for Soarian
- Project management skills
- Demonstrated adult education/training skills with a variety of audiences and computer skill levels
- Knowledge about information systems and their function to support clinical practice
- Experience generating Order Sets in Soarian using ZYNX
- Ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical writing and interpersonal skills and ability to work through issues in a professional manner
- Demonstrates ability to achieve consensus and make decisions in group settings
- Presentation skills
- Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Nursing, Clinical Informatics, Business or related field strongly preferred
- Informatics Certification Courses/ Program completion
- Knowledge of all health care
